When I stared at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, I took over the GSWO Blog, which had previously been run by the Program and Partnerships department. It was designed on WordPress.com and was only targeted at volunteers.
As part of the new digital marketing strategy, I redesigned the website using a responsive WordPress theme and had the site migrated from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress.org. The new look and feel was a balance of a cleaner, more professional aesthetic and the fun, girl-focused brand synonymous with Girl Scouts.
I also expanded the niche to include parents and girls, increasing the posting schedule from one post per week to two or three posts per week.
